6/18/11 (Saturday) Activities

Today I ran 10 miles in 1:17:35.  This was an outside run.
This week has been harder.  Though I have managed to do fairly well with my times, I can tell that taking time off, and probably all the poor eating, has had its effects.  The run felt better today and I was able to complete each mile at a faster pace than last week.

After a pit stop to change my clothes and grab a snack for energy replacement, I cycled 26.62 miles in 1:29:45.
Total running miles for week = 33
Total cycling miles for week = 42.83

6/17/11 (Friday) Run

Today I ran 3 miles in 22:20.  It was the same run as yesterday.

6/16/11 (Thursday) Activities

Today I ran 3 miles in 22:20. I ran most of it at 7.7 mph with the last .25 miles run at 8.6 mph for .15 miles then 9.3 mph for .10 miles.  I increased the last mile as usual.


In the evening I cycled 16.21 miles in 54:22.

6/15/11 (Wednesday) Run

Today I ran 8 miles in 58:54. I did my usual warm up for the first mile to 8.3 mph and ran the next 3 miles at this pace.  The fifth mile I ran at 7.7 mph, the sixth mile at 7.8 mph, and the seventh mile at 8.3 mph.  I began the last mile at 8.4 mph and increased as usual.

6/14/11 (Tuesday) Run

Today I ran 4 miles in 28:42.  I ran the first mile mostly at 7.7 mph, the second mile at 8.3 mph, then the third mile at 7.7 mph, then the first .25 miles of the fourth mile at 8.6 mph, then 8.7 mph the next .25 miles, then increased it by .1 mph each tenth of a mile thereafter and finished the last 100 meters at 10.5 mph.

6/13/11 (Monday) Run

Today I ran 5 miles in 36:52.  I ran most of it at 7.7 mph but finished each last .25 miles at 9.0 mph then ran another tenth of a mile, taking it to 1.10, 2.10, etc., at 9.3 mph.  I finished the last 100 meters at 10.5 mph.

6/11/11 (Saturday) Activities

Today I ran 10 miles in 1:19:58 in another test to see how I would fare after taking a vacation from my training.  I felt pretty tired the first three miles but began to feel better after that.  However, the only way I was able to keep it under 1:20 was to do a 7:33 final mile.  I still felt pretty good overall though.

I came home, changed, had a little snack for energy, and headed out and biked 26.21 miles in 1:29:58.

Total running miles for the week = 20.00
Total cycling miles for the week = 26.21
