This page will be devoted to articles I come across which I find helpful. They will all relate to fitness, one way or another. If you have articles or research which shows these things to not be accurate, I would be grateful to know the reference. I have tried to alphabetize by whatever is the emphasis of the articles.
Benefits of Cardio Training
Just some basic, but important information and reminders, of the importance of cardio training: http://loseweight-safe.com/fitness/benefits-of-cardio-training/
Chocolate Milk is Basically the Ideal Pre and Post Recovery Drink

There is another study that also shows this same effect. I am now seeing chocolate milk more frequently at the finish of races (I admit, another great reason to race).
Cottonseed Oil - Friend or Foe?
Some people are very pro cottonseed oil. However, I have not been able to find anything definitive about this and from what I have read, there are no long-term studies to determine whether it is a good or bad thing to use. Here are the believed benefits: http://www.livestrong.com/article/324822-what-are-the-benefits-of-cottonseed-oil/ and here are the believe (potential) dangers: http://www.ehow.com/facts_5752701_dangers-cottonseed-oil_.html I cannot find the article right now, but I did read (maybe in Runner's World?) that cottonseed oil is "suspected" of causing inflammation.
Glute Exercises
I have been on a glute strengthening kick lately (no pun intended). I have been looking for any and all good exercises and have found Pinterest to be a good site to save me time in doing Internet searches. Here are some I found there that I would recommend.
I have been doing this for two weeks (as of 4/1/12) and can tell you this is VERY difficult (and the trainer is pretty entertaining to listen to). It targets the glutes but is a good all around workout: http://www.runnersworld.com/article/0,7120,s6-238-263-266-14177-0,00.html
I have not tried this one yet, but this looks really good: http://lifeplusfitness.blogspot.com/2012/02/extreme-leg-and-butt-workout-lv1.html
Another one I have not yet tried (but will). It has some of exercises that are right above this on lifeplusfitness, but enough other ones that I wanted to post this and try it. http://www.fitnessmagazine.com/workout/butt/exercises/our-top-10-exercises-to-tone-your-butt/?page=1

Running Myths
These are very good tips. However, Myth #6 about running in the cold I would not automatically agree with. I will have to find it again, but recently I read an article that running in the cold (it did say below "X" degrees, which I cannot remember how cold it was right now) was NOT healthy for the body as they have found that it actually interfers with your blood circulation. But the others are very true from everything I have read: http://www.active.com/women/Articles/6-Running-Myth-Busters.htm?cmp=17-1-2307
Why You Should Not Listen to Music (etc) While Running
I admit, there are some benefits to listening to music. And if that is the only way you can run right now (i.e., what helps you get through it) then do it. But maybe this might be something to work towards, at least once in a while: http://www.active.com/triathlon/Articles/Why-You-Should-Ditch-the-Tunes-While-Training.htm?cmp=17-8-1383
