Today I ran 15 miles in 2:00:55. I was trying to keep it under 2:00:00, which would equal an 8:00 mile pace but just did not do it. However, this equals an 8:03 pace (see what a few seconds can do to your overall time on longer distances!).
You might have noticed that I did not work out this yesterday. I decided to take a suggestion from Jeff Galloway and insert a rest day between my two longer runs (I realize this does not follow his whole philosophy...I am just adapting it to meet my needs). We will see how it goes but it is hard not to run without thinking you are "losing something."
